When I saw my first Ford Mustang, I was in love and I knew deep down that I wanted one. But the truth of the matter was that I was only eighteen, just out of school and broke. That meant that I would have to get a job to save up the money I needed to buy the car of my dreams.
I was able to find a job as a delivery driver for a local Chinese restaurant, and my father was gracious enough to let me borrow his car on nights that I was working. It was relatively easy, and they provided extremely detailed delivery maps to their drivers which made my job a lot easier.
I also picked up a job during the day at a coffee shop in the mall, and I found myself getting tired out and missing out on the many activities that my friends participated in. But I knew that the end was worth the means and that it would feel great to sit behind the wheel of my dream car.
It took me just one year to save up enough money to buy the car of my dreams, and I have never felt so happy in my life. Sure, it took a lot of long hours, but the moment I sat in my car for the first time I knew that it was worth it.
