I felt the same way about shuffleboards. My friends played and wanted me to pick it up too, but I didn’t think it was for me. Now I play all the time and am even considering getting my own table.

I’ve been hording some of my favorite products A) because there have been sales lately and B) because I’m really afraid the businesses will go out of business! Better to stock up now while I can hopefully help their bottom line.

As a small business owner I really do appreciate it when people come in to talk to me and let me know how we’re doing, good or bad. Too often you don’t get reinforcement except from the bottom line.

I love Cadbury chocolate, which is kind of hard to find over here but I fell in love with it overseas, Ugg boots (but I don’t think they really need my business) and my LLBean flannels. I’m a comfy cozy kind of girl.

In this economy, it’s even more important to support and promote the products that you do believe it, because more than likely they don’t have the advertising budget they used to and are counting on word of mouth and consumer loyalty.
