Last year I gave my first really big, really fancy dinner party at Christmas time.  It was a formal dinner, so I paid a lot of attention to detail.  Everything was beautifully decorated, the dishes were festive, yet classy and I even took out the good silverware to use.

I spent weeks preparing, and days planning the menu. Two days before the dinner, I made sure that I had all of the ingredients that I needed and that everything was ready to be cook the next afternoon.  My Mom called to make sure that I had everything ready and, of course, I had apparently forgotten one important thing:  gifts.  I hadn’t realized, even for all of my planning, that I was supposed to have gifts for my dinner guest.  I panicked, wracking my brain for last minute gift ideas.  I quickly searched on line to see what would be a quick and easy gift.

I finally decided to give out holiday gift baskets to everyone invited.  I was going to just do normal gift baskets, but gift baskets for men can prove to be a challenge.  With the holiday ones, I was also keeping with the theme of the dinner party.
