Isn’t it parents that are supposed to have problems with their children getting in trouble? Really, parents are supposed to be the responsible ones, and children are supposed to be the irresponsible ones.  I’m thinking something is all mixed up here.

My dad got arrested a couple of months ago on battery charges stemming from an argument and a fight than ensued down at the Elks lodge. Of course he turned to me for help because he’s pretty well burned any other bridges he might have had. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened, so I already knew that in California bail bonds are the way you get someone out of jail. I contacted a Lancaster bail bonds company and arranged everything with one of their bail bond agents to get my dad out.

Then a couple of days before his trial I went over to his apartment and it was empty. Are you kidding me? He is seriously skipping out on this? He knows that I used my new car as collateral to get him out of jail, and now he has run away. I’m going to lose my car because he got in a fight down at the Elks lodge. I don’t think that old man has any bridges left to burn now.
