Every business should have a slogan. This slogan helps to define what you do. It is posted on business cards and websites to help give your brand name an identity. Some businesses have decided that this identity can be strengthened by having two slogans instead of just one.
As a general rule, one slogan is going to be the preferred choice for businesses. That’s because what you’re trying to do with a slogan is to leave a solid impression about your work with customers. A single simple slogan usually does that best.
However, some businesses are successful in enhancing their first slogan with a second one. A great example is Jottum. This is a clothing company which has two slogans. The first is “each collection is an adventure”. This tells you a lot about their approach to clothing design. The second slogan is “Dutch honesty”. This tells you where they come from and what their core beliefs are. This works because both slogans are simple and memorable and they each tell you something new about the business.
If you can come up with a great second slogan that improves upon your first one, go for it. If this seems too busy, stick with one slogan. Your gut instinct will be right on this one.
