I was watching the show “Yard Attack,” or “Yard Crashers” or something like that on tv last night. On the show, some sketchy looking guy stands outside of Home Depot or Lowe’s or something and offers to make over a random person’s yard for free. The person doesn’t know this is a tv show, so most people refuse, but when one accepts they get their yard totally redone.
Anyway, one of the things that they put into the yard on last night’s show was one of those copper outdoor garden wall fountains. They built it from scratch, and had a little bit of trouble trying to get the copper to stay on. Will copper hold up okay outside? Anyway, it turned out quite gorgeous-it was a Wall fountain-but wouldn’t it have been easier just to buy a pre-made one?
Anyway, I didn’t realize how beautiful this type of fountain was. The water didn’t just run down the wall: it poured out, coming forward into a basin like a big sheet or a big wave. It looks both dramatic and peaceful at the same time. Now I want one, too…but without the hassle of having to cut and glue a big sheet of copper!
