This past weekend my girlfriend and I put the top down on the Mustang, and went for a nice road trip up the coast where we discovered what might just be the coolest little town ever. It is called Carlsbad, and it is just a little North of San Diego.

Of course since my girlfriend is a realtor, she had to grab up all of the silly little free Carlsbad real estate magazines that she could get her hands on. I’m sure she will add those to the huge stack of those magazines that she has in her home office too! She did mention that the townhomes in Carlsbad were reasonably priced though.

For lunch we stopped at a really nice restaurant right on the ocean where I had possibly the best crab cakes I have ever had. I think the place was called Dini’s or Dani’s but I can’t remember for sure. My girlfriend, the health nut had a salad, but the salmon on top of it looked and tasted awesome (yea, I’m a sampler). And even though I’m not much of a shopper, I have to admit that they had some pretty cool stores there too. I’m guessing that this will be a destination we return to every so often.
