I didnt take my daughter out of her crib till she was three years old. I think that if the child is doing fine in the crib then why take them out of it. Her first bed was a twin bed and it had sides on it so she wouldnt fall out when she was sleeping. It is a hard to switch your child to a normal bed but everything will work out.

My wife is looking into buying a new bed for our son. I keep telling her that he is to young. He just turned two not even a week ago and she wants to put him in a normal bed. We argue about it everyday and I just dont know what to do anymore. I think he should stay in his crib till he is at least 2 and 1/2 years old but she thinks he is ready for a new bed now.

I have a 2 year old girl and I am in the same postion as you. I really dont want to take her out of her crib right now. She wakes up asking for her bottle and I can see her just getting right out of bed and getting it herself or she will at least try and get herself. I dont know what to do either?!
