We went on the greatest caribbean vacation ever this year. Usually we go on all inclusive vacations to mexico but this year we wanted to do something different and see a different part of the world. It was very similar and very different in many ways from Mexico. The pace of life was similar in that it seemed to be slower paced than life back home with people in that rat race frenzy of early morning commutes to get to the long and tedious job that they hate just to take the evening rush hour commute back home at night and still have to tend to things at home. I mean I am sure the local people there still had similar patterns and routines that they had to go through every day but I just know in general they seemed to be more at peace and less frenzied than what I see in my daily commute back home. Some of the differences were obviously the cultures, the history, the food, the music. We always enjoy burritos and tacos while listening to Mariachi music in Mexico, but in the Caribbean we were treated to some wonderful jerk chicken while listening to reggae. It was so much fun.
