I am starting to think that I need a personal assistant for the sole purpose of booking my travel plans for me. I really love to go on vacation but I absolutely hate planning any part of the vacation for myself. I would prefer to just take off at the last minute and figure it all out when I get there but that’s not always (or even usually) the best way to handle travel planning.

I would love it if I could hire someone who would find the best vacation deal for me. This person would be able to book charter flights, arrange cruises and deal with the rental car agencies for me. I would just need to show up with my tickets and get on board!

The problem is that I’m also really picky about my travel. I like things a certain way and I don’t even usually know what that way is until I’m in the middle of making my travel plans. An assistant wouldn’t be able to tell which of two flights was at a time I’d prefer that day or which hotel was closest to the events I’d like to attend. It’s too bad, though. It’s a nice idea!
