I’m trying to wrap up all of my vacation planning for the rest of the year so that I can figure out how to budget everything. I’m frustrated because so many of the things that I really want to do this year are winter activities that are located in cold destinations. The problem is that I really hate the snow.
I want to take a trip to Banff Canada to check out the ice fields that are located there. I want to go up to Iceland to check out the hot springs they have amidst the snow. I want to see the Northern Lights from Alaska or Finland. All of these trips are probably going to involve some snow.
I’m originally from southern Arizona. We don’t do snow. I never learned to adjust to wearing layers upon layers of waterproof clothing to keep the cold out. I have trouble understanding how anybody lives in a place where they have to shovel snow.
Despite this, I want to go on these vacations. I don’t want to miss out on seeing amazing things just because I don’t like the cold. But boy do I wish that snow didn’t have to be so freezing!
